About the Captain

Capt. Ben — Lifelong Fisherman

Fishing has been a part of my life since I was a child. From early mornings on local lakes to chasing big game offshore, the thrill of the catch and the peace of being on the water have always been central to who I am. I am a Florida State University graduate with a major in Entrepreneurship. While in college, I spent most of my free time down at the coast, developing a real obsession for inshore redfishing around Florida’s Big Bend region.

I spent years working as a mate in the offshore charter fishing scene in the Northeast U.S., competing in some of the world’s largest tournaments, from the White Marlin Open to the Mid-Atlantic, targeting tuna, marlin, and other big game species. I have also spent time freshwater fly guiding out in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, after a variety of trout.

After years of competitive offshore fishing, I found my new home in Jacksonville, Florida. The vast marshlands, scenic rivers, and diverse inshore waters offered a fresh challenge and endless opportunities to chase fish like redfish, trout, flounder, and black drum. Jacksonville’s waters perfectly blend abundance, beauty, and accessibility, making it ideal for every angler.

My goal is simple: to share my knowledge and skills to create fishing experiences that are fun, productive, and unforgettable. Whether it’s your first time on the water or you are an experienced angler, I will make sure we make it happen.
